RULES ON FACEBOOK
As the Indian government trying to set up guidelines for social media platforms and online content, Facebook. India welcomed that rules and regulations.
Ajit Mohan, vice president, and managing director of Facebook India told ET that both technology and citizens will be better served with regulations involved in Social media.
The Indian government is planning to set up regulations because of fake news, misinformation and rising incidents on social media. Since September 2017, almost 31 people have come to know in India over the rumor spread through that Facebook-owned Whatsapp.
We can’t find the person who is spreading this news because of there anonymity. On this question, Mohan said that Company believes it’s a very fair question to ask from social media platforms. He assured also that the company is finding the right balance.
FACEBOOK STRUGGLES AROUND THE COUNTRY
In 2018 everyone started feeling that their data are not saved on Facebook it’s leaking from somewhere. So that time Facebook has no option to update its policies and data storage mechanism to avoid such incidents in the future.
Mohan said ” Cambridge analytical has already resulted in changes in policies. It’s a very different company now. A set of data was made legitimately available for the researcher and then the researcher chooses to sell the data to third parties in violation of terms.
